Rotor question, pic inside...
My rotors always seem to have this "haze" to them, see the pic...
They don't have any warped feeling to them & it stops OK from dragstrip speeds. They do squeak once in a while, when it is warm out, more so when you apply light pedal pressure.
I picked up a set of el cheapo pads & I was going to throw them on to see if they helped.
I've seen these in person & they look great...Is it time for me to pick them up?

Opinions?

It almost looks like it's rust that's gotten scraped off and spread over the disc If the brakes are still working properly, I wouldn't worry about it to be honest.
As far as those rotors you linked to, I would reccommend putting up the extra coin for something a little better. Cheap rotors are just that: cheap. I had some similar to that and after about 15k miles of normal street driving with Hawk HPS pads, every single hole had cracks at the edges...
Personally, I'm just not really sold on cross-drilled rotors being practical on the street.
