how quick before you need a cage?

how quick before you need a cage? How quick can a t-top car go (i.e., 60' and e.t.) without twisting before it needs a cage, assuming the car has subframe connectors?

Re: how quick before you need a cage? I was following a race prepped BMW Z coupe through a technical series of corners. he was so much faster than I was through that section that I decided to follow his line and wound up in the weeds.
I discovered 2 things ...
My heavy car couldn't take a tight line like a Hoosier shod Z coupe
And I was trying things in my car that narrowed the window of recovery when I screw up.
I had a cage installed within a month.
All that to say that when you begin pushing the envelope to the point where you have to be concerned about twisting the car like a pretzel, maybe you should consider some safety gear.
