Lowering the SS 1"

Lowering the SS 1" Hey Guys, I'm looking to lower my 01'SS about one inch. I currently have the stock shocks, but I do have BMR control arms, and BMR non-adjustable Panhard Rod. Also, i may be going to 17X11 wheels in the rear sometime. So do i just need to get an adjustable PHR, LCA relocation brackets, and lowering spring??? Otherwise Thunder Racing sells a kit with boths springs and bilstein shocks for $680-should i go this route since it lowers an inch (and would now have better shocks) and would i need the adjustable PHR and relocation brackets yet?

Re: Lowering the SS 1 from what I've heard you dont actually need the LCA relocation brackets. I talked to Sam Strano Jr. and he said for the most part they are a waste of money. This is unless you decide to drop it 2 inches instead of 1
Re: Lowering the SS 1 You will need an adjustable PHR if you're going to get 17x11s because you'll rub the tires on the fender. As far as relocation brackets go, just forget them unless you plan on lowering your car about 2 inches.

Re: Lowering the SS 1 If you're looking foe a 1" drop I would suggest the SLP bilstien shocks and springs - probably the ones that thunder are selling. I have the Hotchkis and they are excellent with a 1.25 to 1.5 inch drop and have kept the standard decarbon shocks. I strongly recommend the LCA relo brackets since the LCA geometry is not that good to begin with and with even a 1" drop it's bad.
Re: Lowering the SS 1 I would suggest the SLP Bilstein HD's along with the LGM Hypercoils.
My car is a daily driver & feels Very good on the Hwy. No noises, creaks, etc.
