Default abs delete question

do you need an ajustable proportioning valve when deleting the abs?
the reason I ask is I have done the abs delete without one and when presure is in the brake system with foot off the petal I can hardly turn the front wheel by hand.(the rears are fine)A the moment I have a strange master cylinder and areospace rear brakes and stock front brakes and line lock also

if I install this valve do I put it before or after the linelock
this is a dragrace only car

thanks

The proportioning valve would go on the line going to the rear brakes (not the front that has your line lock), and yes, it is required (the stock ABS module does the proportioning without your knowledge).

The only thing I can think of as to why both front brakes are remaining partly engauged is too much pressure in the system and I was thinking with a proportioning valve I could almost get rid of that by reducing the pressure
in the fronts

anyone have opinions as to if this might work or not?
thanks

You got me on that one...I have no idea why your front brakes would be dragging, but I wouldn't think a proportioning valve would be the answer.

well looks like I found the problem and I feel like a total idiot right now
it seems with the manual brakes the petal is staying applied slightly and that is the problem(the first thing I should have checked)
anyone know if there is a fix to this other than pulling it up with the top of my foot after the tranny brake is applied(not much time for that on a pro tree)

I believe if you remove the master cylinder there is a rod from the brake booster to the center of the m/c piston , see if your is adjustable
