Default 3 inch drop

I really like the slammed look of a car and i was looking at some springs that offer a 2.8 inch drop and i wanted to know if anyone had this much of a drop could post some pics so i have a general idea of how its going to sit.

I would think a drop like that would make our cars ride like crap..I know mine would. Every car in my area that's slammed to the ground with a drop like this has a 15ft tall spoiler and Nos stickers slapped all over it

haha i hear ya on that one, but i mean how could it ride like crap, extremely low center of gravity. Main reason why im asking i found some springs that are afordable and they lower it to where i want it, i could always get them and find out from expirience

Have a trailer? Because you won't be able to drive it. 2" is too much drop for things to work well, and folks complain about scraping the nose or certain poor fitting exhausts at drop as little as 1.5", sometimes even less.

2.8" is a joke and all about sitting still and looking "cool".... though I don't think a car that literally sits on the ground looks all that cool but that's just my personal opinion.

ive been looking around for a couple of hours now and havent been able to find too much info on the company that sold those springs so i think now im just going to go with the tokico shocks and sportlines. It seems like my best bet with the little amount of $$ i have right now.

Don't waste your money on the sportlines..they are garbage can. Spend the money on the prokit series.

3 inch drop??? wow... Why not go for 4?

I don't know how you will get the car to ride well, but I'm assuming you don't care about that.

I would think that 3 inches goes beyond bumpstop limitations. You'd have to remove bumpstops or go really low. Good luck not bottoming the pistons out on the shocks though.

Will the fbody even go that low before it starts dragging the undercarriage on the ground?

After you drop it install some LT's with cut outs and make a video of the sparks shooting out from under the car..lol

A trailer wont do him much good either, he wouldnt be able to load it! Hell with a 1.25in springs I need 8ft of ramps to be able to load mine and its still damn close!

My favorite looking ride height is actually stock. There's gotta be some other people out there who are with me on this.

Good point, I hadn't even thought about that.

Take out the springs and shocks entirely and just let it ride on the bumpstops - they are somewhat flexible . . .

Looks good sometimes. Atleast my passenger side does. For some reason the drivers side sits higher.

I'm still gunna go with the Strano Springs/Koni's combo. That the best stance I've seen of all the setups out there.

Honestly why even waste the money? At that height the car will handle/ride horribly, you might as well just cut your stock springs and come out with a lower height, and the same horrible performance.

I have 2" DROP and that is the limit man. Don't go anything lower. Its not for highway crusin or speedbumps. You gotta know exactly where and how your going ahead of time. The only problem i have is scraping my LT's on speedbumps. Its not that bad for a strictly summer car tho. If its a show car, 2" looks great. If you wanna get more driveability, 1.5 is where you wanna be at the lowest.

the car is a summer car only and i barely go over speed bumps where i live, its mostly smooth too. I'm going to get the ones that are in my price range and seem feesable the possibly upgrade later on down the line. There are plenty of cars here that basically drive on the ground and there fine.
