Default rotor question

i swapped my rotors to drilled and slotted a little while ago and im doing a tranny swap im taking mine out this thursday. my question is when they get wet and form rust how long can they sit untill they get ruined. because i have no garage to work in and not alot of time off work it will probally take a month to complete the full swap is that too long? if so how can i protect them in this cold weather. or if the get rusty can i take a very light grit sand paper to them
thanks

I'm not sure how long your planning on leaving the car parked, but I've left my car outside all winter in New England parked. When I brought it back out in the spring I just applied the brakes and the pads clean the rust off. I have blanks though.

For a month, I wouldn't worry about it. Just keep your eye out for any cracks around the holes on your rotors.
