Default GI: Sunoco hood

My car got totalled and I had a street Sunoco hood. I'm looking at other cars and I think I'll be buying a new car with a hood I'm happy with. If I decide to buy a car with a hood I like, I'd be selling the sunoco. I was just wondering how much the hood is worth. I don't have pictures, but the hood was slightly damaged. The corners near the hinges had the paint chipped and the passenger side part of the cowl was split, but can easily be fixed with fiberglass resin or even JB weld. The hood was fitted to my car so should fit pretty well to any car. I know from the "factory" it doesn't quite fit perfect. Anyway, I was just wondering what people would be willing to pay for the hood. There's no final deals, but in the next week or 2 it could be sold...

Also, between the price of the hood, shipping, fitting and paint, there's over $1,000 worth of work.

without pics, no idea, but with slight corner damage, I would guess 300-400. . .

I doubt it's even worth 300-400, going to need repair and a repaint to look good again. I'd say it's worth $200 at the most.

Sometime tomorrow I should be able to get pix of the damage, but I assure you, it's not bad at all. Most people wouldn't even spot it if they were up close and looking at it. It looks me a couple visits to my wrecked car to actually notice it. Sorry for so many posts. It's the 4th of July

Lol I know your angle. I saw you trying to get the hood off the Z-28 for sale with the 6.0L iron block.

I am looking for one, but I want one already painted and undamaged so I can just swap. I wouldn't buy a damaged hood, just giving my honest opinion.

I understand. I've been in the same shoes as you. No matter what color the hood is tho, it will probably never match anyway. Your car has been through different weather conditions than any other car. Also, the damage is so slight that you will only notice if I show you. Especially after I fix it. I was planning on fixing the split and after that, the only other "damage" is the small paint chips. I figure a used after market part is worth 50% of the original value. These hoods are upper $700's to have shipped. I think it'll be worth $400 when all said and done. I'm just wondering if anyone is interested in it for a price around that much.
