As you can see the car has a full exhaust, bolt-ons, suspension mods, small cam, and a 4000 stall. The best time was an 11.93 at 115.65 mph. This was with ET streets mounted on Weld rims. The only weight reduction was removing sub box, spare tire, and jack. With the skinnies mounted and in better weather conditions I think it has an 11.7x in it.
I've owned the car since January 2001 when I bought it used at about 5,800 miles. It's been garaged kept for most of its life and over the past several years it hasn't been driven much at all. I did not keep maintenance records, but I'm extremely meticulous when it comes to servicing my cars. It's had either Mobil 1 or Castrol Syntec in the engine since I've owned it, changed about every 5,000 miles. The transmission fluid has been changed twice. The rear differential fluid has also been changed twice. Last year I replaced the brake pads and flushed the brake system.
Known Issues:
1. Intermittent SES light for transmission solenoid. I can't remember the exact code, but it's a false positive due to the high stall torque converter. The computer thinks the 2-3 shift didn't happen because there is no RPM drop. This needs a tune to remove the code. I've also gotten a code once or twice for the O2 heater due to the long tubes. This can be fixed by replacing the O2s with rear ones from a Corvette.
2. The driver's side exhaust tip sticks out farther than the right one. Super annoying. The exhaust slips from the rubber hanger and exaggerates it.
3. Door panels. It had the infamous Firebird door panel cracks on both sides. The passenger side was minimal so I removed the window trim and staples and plastic welded the underside. I used small bolts to hold the window felt. The driver's side was the worst I've ever seen. I dissembled the entire door, plastic welded both sides and then covered with vinyl. The vinyl color match is excellent, but there are some ripples and a seam at the bottom of the door that doesn't look all that great since I had so much trouble stretching the material. Unnoticeable when the door is shut.
Title:
I have a clean title in hand. Unfortunately I lost the original during one of my moves so I have a certified copy.
I have the car registered at my parents address in a non-emissions county so I don't have to worry about inspection. The car will pass an emissions test as long as the codes mentioned above are not showing. All the visuals are fine, you just might need a tune if those codes show up.
Why am I selling?
I've been on the fence for a couple of years now since I've lost interest in the car. I'm potentially moving to Alaska in the next few months and I don't want to take it with me. I'll either sell it or put it in storage.
Price: $9,000
I think it's a fair price considering the condition of the car, the mileage, and the amount of mods you're getting. I'm certainly not trying to make any money back as I probably have that much in money tied up in mods.
PM me for questions and setting up a time to see the car.
