Fs: 2002 - z28 som
I had posted this earlier as tentative but it is a for sure thing now. It has gotten to that point in life where I need something else. I love my car and would not under better circumstances ever sell her, but times call for a different direction.
A little about the car:
- 2002 SOM Z28
- 144,000 miles - I am the second owner - bought it with 100,000 on it - original owner lived in Arlington and worked in Dallas so a majority of the miles are highway miles
- It has the normal wear and tear on the body, but is mostly in good condition, normal road chips and the like
- Transmission was rebuilt 4,000 miles ago - still real notchy but can be hammered on
- Put an LS7 clutch in when the trans was changed, still has the new stiff feel
- GMMG exhaust that sounds really good despite not having headers, cam, or any other engine mods
- BMR drop springs, Panhard rod, Lower Control Arms
- Black spoke Boyd Smoothie II's with somewhat new Vredestein tires - tires have a full warranty to be replaced if anything were to go wrong with them
- Brand new brake rotors and pads from Brakemotive - looks killer with the Smoothies
Now the negatives:
- Needs shocks real bad - fronts have some life left in them but the rears are pretty much done
- Needs to have the fenders rolled - doesn't rub extremely bad, but when you hit a good dip in the road you can hear the rub
- Has no engine mods save for a SLP lid - the engine is as stock as they come
For the most part this car is in prime condition to be bought and modded. The suspension is nearly there, the engine is virgin, and the car is as straight as can be. Again I am just testing the waters here for what I can get for it. Tentative asking price - $7000 obo
Also ... I am willing to take trades - Mainly want a 90s chevy pick-up ... prefer a single cab but open to extended cab - lower miles and decent body.
Decent trade + $5000 and we can talk!
