question on 243 heads
question on 243 heads ok long story short i built my motor and car after 500 miles everything new drove on wet roads and totaled it... the valve covers on one head got smashed causing a few bent valves. mechanic looked at it and said the head itself is good need new valves and guides. told me he would rather me get new heads because he dont know what might happen down the road. i ended up buying some 243 heads that was already ported and polished from some shop in houston (forgot the name) for $500. question is how much would a pair of 243 heads go for in that kind of shape?
