347 Shortblock Here is the deal....... The shortblock is fuel washed. It needs to be re-ringed and re-honed. Aside from that, there are no other issues. If it were me, I would put new bearings in it. Diamond 3.905 -2 pistons, scat type chinese steel rods, and gm crank. All parts and block in good shape. Only has 2K miles since the rebuild. I am having the engine builder look through it to make sure there are no issues, but at this point, we have no reason tot hink there are. $800 and you can have it as it sits.
What is "scat type chinese rods" that means they are lower quality than even scat? Not in here to bust your ***** but have some genuine interest if it truly does ONLY need a hone NOT if it needs pistons etc...

I am selling the shortblock with the intent of the new owner putting rings and bearings in it. I think the price is low enough to justify that. The shortblock looks just like any other shortblock with no visible damage. Nothing to see.
Do you know what caused the rings to fuel wash or how you noticed it before anything bad happened? Curious as I road race an LS1 with a restrictor in front of the throttle body and I have been worried about it washing the rings.

I honestly dont recall what the rods are. I can tell you that all the lower end stamped steel rods like scat, cat, etc are comparable. Better than stock.......by alittle.
I washed it out by too much fuel, plain and simple. When you have fuel in your oil, its a good indicator. Just check your plugs make sure they have good burn and little fuel/oil coloring.
