Patrick G, what kind of power do you think that thing is making to run that fast? Seems like I've seen 2k rwhp cars not even get close to that, or am I not thinking right?

They were making somewhere in the 1300's to the tires. They run the mile boost only, nitrous would be too much durring a 25 second WOT run.

The drag coefficient of the Supras are low and the frontal area is much smaller than Vettes or Vipers making it easier for them to punch a hole in the atmosphere. SW's Supra supposedly makes in the 1500 rwhp level. That same power in a Viper would have had it going in the 220s due to the dirtier aerodynamics and larger frontal area.

Patrick is correct.. Though that 1500rw number is from the spray which is not used in the mile. As Tommy Bahn says, "YOU SPRAY, YOU DIE!!!!" lol

Actually, that was the top speed from one of their early events and it came from a land speed car that had to be pushed to start. AA Blown Fuel Lakester driven by Bill Scott
257.117 MPH.
