IMO the only reason why i would want a cam on a stock car is for sound, i loved the sound of the t-rex cam with long tube headers and true duals dumped it sounded like real american muscle just sitting there idling loping hard 
........ but if its speed you're looking for a stall converter and some 3.73's will be the biggest performance mod and biggest bang for your buck when it comes to e.t. times..... or save your money and do a big cam, stall, and gears then you will really be moving
