If you go to just about any Dodge dealership now, they usually have a few sitting on the lot. Nobody is really buying any cars right now, even these.

 

They have one manual transmission car on the lot. It's an RT, and they don't give test drives, because "the owners don't like a lot of miles on their cars"

 

I would love to get my hands on the new HURST edition.

I've only seen a few around San Antonio and they were all SRT8's . I want to get one but want a stick car not the automatic version .

 

Our company has a SRT8 and they are pretty cool cars but 2 major kill points in my book. ours weighs in a 4100 with aftermarket wheels, and they need gears badddddddd. auto cars come with 3.06 and it is a turd out of the hole but once it is moving it's pretty fun.

 

I dont like them, they are to slow, and cant handle! Or thats what ive heard.

Saw a whole hauler full of them yesterday on I-30 near Sulphur Springs.

I've seen about 6 down here in South Houston, Clear Lake area...

I saw a few black ones, blue, candy red, oh and a black and orange custom paint job....

They are cool i guess but to me their waaaaay overrated...

But me? naw I get just as many looks with my T/A down here...Theres not many clean T/A's down here so I get my fun...

In fact, the driver of one of the black SRT-8's I saw, looked rather upset when he pulled up on me and looked over at me.

I guess he got mad when he realize I wasn't impressed, and just pulled off.

 

You can think that but I guarantee you it takes more than a high school kid in a TA to upset someone in a new SRT8 Challenger.

yea but look at it this way! if you had paid what that guy in the challenger paid for his car. and only got marginal performance . you would have the same feelings. just pulled the tags on a few srt8 & rt challengers ive seen around town. just to see what the owners paid for them. and its pretty obscene! one guy paid 97,000$ after financing and the others ranged between 65-78,000$ talk about getting banged for the buck!
