Where is a good place to pick up an AR-15 around Houston.

I bought my Bushmaster at Academy. They are usually pretty fair on their pricing as far as a retail store goes.

better to wait till after march 09..way better prices..dont let those guys fool u buy tryin to sell you one for 1500.00, when you can get one for less than 900.00..

If you wait to long you probally won't be able to get one.DPMS Panther has a 1yr wait and i ordered a AR10 from them in June and still waiting.The gun store i buy my gun's from have 4 AR15's on the wall right now so they can't be that hard to get.You can buy them from a store out of state and do a transfer.

I made sure to purchase a receiver for the .308 DPMS a few months back. (price has almost doubled since then) I plan on slowly putting the gun together this way. The good part is that I have transferred the gun into my name by buying this piece through my FFL dealer. I might pick up a few hi cap mags, and the rest can be mail ordered without transfers.

This is a bad time for good deals, but you never know if they will be banned. ( I doubt it, but never say never)

I personally don't think anything will change as far as purchasing firearms are concerned. I wish I had a few AR-15's laying around right now to sell though because he's been a blessing to the weapons industry and prices are currently rediculous on assault rifles!

I went with my cousin to that ghetto shooting range in pasadena off 225. We were shooting his AR-15, and one of the guys that works there came back and gave us a AR-15 that had been converted over to shoot 9mm. That was the nicest shooting, most accurate gun I have ever shot. They even use uzi clips you can buy for $10 bucks. Very cool gun.
