Yall definately picked the right first game to go to. The defense was incredible today. We held Tennessee to 100 yards rushing, 2-13 on 3rd down, and got 2 turnovers.

The defense looked great today and It was a beautiful day with the roof open. I think I'll keep my season tickets fo another year. The Texans are finally putting it together, I thought they would go 10-6 this year but could have done better without the turnovers.

Where are your tickets Mike?? I got my dad and I season tickets for fathers day and it turned out to be a great gift. He has a ton of fun at the games and is one of the loudest people in our section which is totally not like him at all but man does he get into it.

We have 2 seats in section 507 on the Texans side, pretty good seats I can see both engzones great. the bad thing is my wife loves taking pictures and she averages about 200(1 1/2-2gb average) pics a game. Where are your dads tickets?

We are in the south endzone. It's section 6something. I wanted to be able to look down the field so I could see what the players see.

I think in some other year, Slaton gets ROY, but there is too much competition this year even with those kinds of numbers, but doing it on the lowly Texans team. Not enough visibility, though the Monday nighter helped. But, that can be good for us, and maybe we can keep him around a bit longer.

Andre Johnson is a ****** boss. He can't be stopped. You really can't say enough about Slaton, he took everything Tennessee could dish out and he just kept going. Our defense locked 'em down when we had to and we won the turnover battle.

We kicked their ***.
hell yea! i had a blast at the game! woot! I had called it tho...I had a feeling the Texans were going to pull it off....hopefully the front office puts up the money to keep andre, slayton and the few key components together!

Andre is locked in for a few more years. He signed a big contract extension two years ago I think.

One thing that does kinda **** me off is the lack of media coverage we got for the win. I watched SportsCenter last night and Monday Night Countdown just a minute ago and the only mention of the game was that Albert Haynesworth got hurt. **** that guy. We kicked their *** and nobody wants to talk about it. That's kinda crappy IMO.

There is not a bad seat that I have seen in the stadium.

I've been real pleased with their play in the last few weeks. This team could easily have a 9-5 record. I'm really glad to see they could pull themselves together and win. I think we are a little defensive help away from being a solid conteder. I'd love to see us draft a good safety or CB and sign another monster on the d-line. Could you imagine if we had a ball stealing FS and another Mario on the line to put even more pressure on opposing QB's?
The offense is good. However, I'd like to see a 2nd dependable back (Slaton kicks *** btw) and some better work in the red zone.

some good ideas on your part....I think ur correct. I also think a good linebacker to help demeco out wouldnt be a bad idea. We have a good core on offense...if we can keep schaub playing to his ability I think we are good to go. Like someone said a few less turnovers and you have a damn near 10 win season easily!

If I were Rick Smith this is what I'd be looking for:

1) Defensive Tackle that requires constant attention and double teams. Not only will it keep Mario in more one-on-one situations but it will clog up the middle and help us in run defense.

2) A big back that can pound out the tough yardage in short yardage and goaline situations. And somebody that can come in on 3rd and long to keep Slaton fresh and healthy.

3) Ball hawking safety. With our defense playing more aggressive we need somebody who can take advantage of errant QB throws.

I'm tempted to add another good corner to my list to play opposite of Robinson but Reeves has been playing much better as of late. If you let Reeves, Bennett, and Faggins compete for the starting job opposite of 23 surely one of them can step up and be a playmaker.

Our linebacking group is very good. Remember Diles was playing fantastic until he broke his leg. I think the combo of Ryans, Diles, and Adibi could be a very potent one if we could find a dominating tackle that would free them up to make plays.

Other than that we just need to make sure that we force other teams to beat us and that we don't beat ourselves with turnovers and stupid penalties.

Albert Haynesworth will be available next season, but he'll probably want too much money.

He's gonna get paid no matter where he goes.

The good news for the Texans is that after this season we'll actually have some money to sign some big time free agents.

Nnamdi Asomugha, a corner in Oakland (which is why you haven't heard of him) is going to be a free agent this offseason. He is a Pro Bowl starter this year after being left out last season. Last year, through 16 games, he had 30 ***** thrown his way. Only 10 were completed and he picked one off. Brett Favre and Peyton Manning went the entire game without throwing it at him when their teams played Oakland. Miami didn't throw it at him either.
