That's really cool. I'm glad to see that, no matter what political or religious differences there may be, driving fast cars is still a universal language of fun.

That's cool stuff... Been there,,, not for pleasure though! R&R while in Afghanistan.. So tell me, have you went para sailing? Been to eat @ Chili's? Have you been on the Air Base there in Quatar? Man those Air Force guy's have it good..! Olympic sized swimming pool, Subway,Pizza Hut, beer... MY buddy and i got to spend 72 hrs there, then it was back to hunt bad guy's in Afghanistan...
Cool pic's guys... Doha,Bahrain, are some pretty cool places... However, alot of the Arab's we ran into were not crazy about us americans. Don't trust em!!

I have actually flown that US Flag in every region over there... From Iran,Pakistan, all over Afghanistan,Uzbekistan,Manus... and as you can see Quatar...

sorry for the hijak... this brings back memories...

We ran today. The car has been sitting since the lsx shootout and we tested at the New Track in Qatar. Very first pass we went 7.62 @ 180+. You all have to keep in mind that this was on a FOOT BRAKE!!!!! The next hit the clocks didn't read correctly and then on the Third pass we shook the tire very hard and shattered a 35 spline axle. We have new parts on the way and hope to make the race.

Been there also and had alot of fun with the locals even though I was a Marine Corps guy....

I have a special flag too that has been everywhere with me that is now enshrined in a case with my rank and medals....

Have fun with the car and good luck with the race.... Breaking a 35 spline sounds awesome and great pictures...

The shop is still operating in full force. Just give Pat a call and he can give you an update on your tranny.

The sand situation is not bad like alto of people think. There is no need to run anykind of filter on the race car. It is just dusty from sitting for a couple months.

Just a quick update from Qatar. After first rnd of qual we are #1 with an 8.4. It may seem slow but this is only the 6 or 7th pass for Saeed in this car. Hopefully Steven will elaborate a little. It is very late here so I am going to bed.
