I was going to work in the bank one building.. well it use to be bank one building, but that position was a little under paid for the drive to downtown.

Which is not necessarily a bad thing. Who knows, maybe the weather patterns changed a bit at some point, hence maybe missing the area.

Then again, if you cry wolf too many times for nothing...

I was planning to work from home, anyway, so the weather didn't affect my plans at all. And since the schools are closed, I then decided to take the whole day off.

A little over hyped.....but then again if its gets bad, then its "i told you so...". I drove through the last "ice storm" we had a couple of months ago.....and it wasnt the safest trip i have had. I definetly agree with 4x4 drivers thinking they can hall *** through anything, they forget the bigger you are, the harder you fall.

My wife drove from the airport to Denton a couple of hours ago and didn't have any problems. I just ran some errands with my daughters in Denton and the traffic was very light. Roads were not slippery at all even though it's below freezing and it's drizzling.

All the vehicles in my driveway are covered with ice.

probably FM 1385 but it gets rough in places. I'm a little farther north in Pilot Point. Headed home now, an hour early.

The roads were almost dry for my drive home.

What people don't consider are ground temps. It takes days of freezing temps to drop them.

It was 25 degrees in Midland/Odessa at 3am. After my crew left the yard and arrived on location at 8 we were called to be told no trucks to be moved. Too late for us and had to stay put near Lamesa. It warmed up to 20, but the freezng rain kinda sucked.

Pretty shitty to the west of fort worth.

About two hours ago, ice started to appear on roads, and Im not talking about bridges im talking about normal roads.

Made the drive home about 7, and it wasnt fun, almost got hit three times. Plus I had a 4Runner spin in front of me on a bridge and almost took me out, then proceeded to pull right out in front of me while he got back on the road, then at the next bridge there was a really bad wreck.

Every bridge I hit on the way home had quite a bit of ice on it.
