Brake Problem, need help. I need help, and need it pretty soon. I'm looking for the part of a caliper that the brake pads slide into. I thought my caliper locked up, but it was just the bracket I just described. It usually slide to adjust for any rotor movement, but it locked up and I can't drive with it. I'm using a borrowed one right now and would like to give it back as soon as possible. If anyone has any calipers or this part that they would be willing to donate or sell, please PM me. I'm willing to drive to you as long as it's not too far. It goes on my front passenger side.
Also, if this has happened to anyone and they can tell me if I can fix mine without having to buy a new one, I'm cool with that too.

So let me get this understood. When you unbolt the top both of the caliper and you fold it back. There's a braket that the pads slide into that have to little metal clips? Is that what your talking about? Or what? If so did you grease that? And the tabs on the pads. Mine did something similar and it just need to be greased. That may be all it needs. Or I could be way off and thinking of something else.

It was the sliders. Something happened to them and they locked up so tight I couldn't even force them to budge out. I'm going to keep the bracket and see if I can soak it and see if they'll eventually budge, but they might as well be welded right now.
