Moved to Texas (DFW) and need some help!

Moved to Texas (DFW) and need some help! Hi guys, I recently moved here [ Arlington] from NJ { I can already hear the jokes lol} and am driving an Acura ( yeah I know lol ) right now and need some help since I barely know my way around.. 
I have an Alpine in-dash DVD player [ IVA-D310 ] in the car and it started acting up two days ago!
What happens is, it'll either not juice up at all, or if it does the volume will be stuck at whatever it was [i.e. can't go up or down] then after a few minutes it'll work just fine or I can't change the channel because the touchscreen won't respond... Basically, it seems to have a mind of it's own!! Things start / stop working at random!
Now, since I transferred this from my TA, I've never had ANY issues till about two days ago.. I never abused/abuse it ..
I did take the car to a Car Audio place on Cooper Street [ near UTA ] and the guy said it'd be a good $400+
to have it fixed from Alpine... And, it'll only be a 30 day repair warranty! Then, he tries to sell me a new unit!1 
Anyways, just wondering if someone could help me out or recommend a shop I should go to for this problem... I have a feeling it could be a wiring issue...

] lol.. GMC, I bought a complete new harness for the Acura when the HU went in..
I've already checked the harness again, and looks okay.. atleast to me!
