Inspection in Texas

Default Inspection in Texas

does the whole state of texas have to pass inspection or only certain parts? I may be getting a job out there and have plans to mod the car that will not pass inspection for sure lol...please let me know...also..if im only going to be out there for 3 years or so can I keep my Florida tag and get away with not having to pass?

metro area counties have emissions testing (dyno/sniffer test on OBD-I, computer/visual test only on ODB-II), rural area counties are safety inspection only.
