As far as the hometown team, I think the Astros are gonna finish third in the Central behind the Cubs and Cardinals. And imo the Rangers will also finish third behind the and Angels and Oakland.
I'll be there for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday in person to see how bad it's going to be. I'll post some pictures and an assessment of how many losses we should expect.

I think the stros will have a chance to compete as long as they can avoid fluke injuries. Miguel is in a contract year. Hunter is improving his discipline at the plate, and Bourn is starting to actually hit through the left side of the infield. They won't win big, but they are a competitive team.
OP:
Dice-K for Cy is a HUGE reach considering he isn't even the best pitcher on his team. Your mvp choices are slightly more reasonable, but A rod coming of surgery is questionable, and you can never trust Manny to deliver when under a contract of more than a year. He will put up your average manny numbers, but not mvp ones like the end of last season.

and as every year, I will be pullin for the Stros..no matter how bad they suck...
(you married guys know what I'm talkin about...
Which is why I'll be at a few 'Stros game this season.
In the AL I dont know who it will be but it wont be the sox!
Not the RED ones anyways.
In the NL... the mets put alot of focus on their bullpen. Hopefully that will help their september woes. Actually the last 3 years they have been the best team in the NL until september came around and they calapsed both years. So I think they will go all the way now that they have a sturdier bullpen
It was a lot of fun until the 2nd pitch of the season was rocketed 400+ feet out of the ballpark. And it just got worse from there.
The Astros lost of course. Nothing new there. But it was a lot of fun. I took a couple of hundred pictures and I'll try to post some later.

As far as the Astros go, I can only HOPE for 2nd in the NL Central and a wildcard spot, but that's pushing it.
