Umm....a little carb cleaner/brake cleaner and elbow grease works wonders. Shouldn't take more than 1/2 hour to clean both heads.

I think he means to have them disassembled and then cleaned.

About 4 cans of carb cleaner will get you done. Hit the chambers, let them sit for a couple minutes then hit them again. Unless you are planning on having them tanked, do NOT use any abrasives. Shoot down the runners until they look desirable. Not a big deal. Then wash them with a water hose and dry with air. No need to take them in for that. Dont let them sit for any longer than you need to, get them back on the car in and running. You dont want to allow any surface rust to build on your valves or seats.

Disassembled? Get them bead blasted and jet washed. Mine came out spic and span. Call local engine builders or head porters. I'm sure one will be able to help.

it took me about 4 hours to dissasemple one head and clean with about 4 cans or carb cleaner. i used a wire brush on a drilll and a small wire hand brush they have a **** load or oil on the intake runners which is what caused most of my detonation (i think). i figured it would be easier to take them apart and have some one clean them in a solvent tank or whatever they use.
