Congrats Mike, very nice! What was the steal of a deal, what did it cost you?

They were asking $37K. I talked them down to $36K, then added another 3yr/36k mile warranty. Total driveout price, after taxes and fees, was just over $40K.

Then I put $20K down.

I got financing through a credit union. I'll put it this way: I was paying $360/month on my '06 Accord (paid off in February). The note on the Vette is $387/month. I'm paying $400, just to accelerate payments a bit. Since I have no other car notes, that is very affordable...especially for what amounts to my dream car. It took a lot of patience to save up for it, but that huge down payment made it all worth it.

I might have found one cheaper, had I gone private party, but I certainly can't complain, especially with the options and the mileage.

Yeah, I really wanted an Atomic Orange, but what can I say? Black is beautiful.

I posted a few more pics here: https://ls1tech.com/forums/album.php?albumid=9539

Does that mean you're coming back to Kemah now or are you now too good for us lowly f-body'ers?

I'll be coming back to Kemah, no doubt. I haven't forgotten my roots.

The main reason I haven't been out to Kemah is because I was so afraid to drive the Camaro/put miles on it while trying to sell it. That, and I've been ridiculously busy.

Yes. Black is the best "color." I can't wait until I move up to even a C5 in a few years.

Nice car Mike. I will be looking for it in the neighborhood. I have heard several people buy cars from Corvettes of Houston and have only good things to say. Another member on here, Tumblr the guy that does alot of airbrushing, bought his from there.

Thanks all! I'm not planning anything for it yet. When the tires wear out, I'll probably look at buying new wheels/tires. Other than that, the plan is to just enjoy this thing for a while before I start dicking around with it.

I drove it to work and dinner with friends yesterday. PERFECT day to have the roof off! I love this car!
