a friend bought a 9 for his t/a,my question is that the bearings are not pressed on.how far do you need to press them on and do you need to put on the brake bracket first. i know there is a section for this but want to ask some of you here in tx

use the rear end section of the site. This is literally all they talk about.

yes you have to put the Bracket on first. this is what keeps the axle from sliding out of the tube. There should be a stop machined on the axle. Slide the brake bracket on the start pressing the bearing on. keep pressing untill you hit the stop and can not slide the bearing down any more. we used a Big hydrolic press when doing mine. was real simple. Make sure you put the brackets on the right axle, it will be a pain if you need to pull the bearings back off.
