Question: How about the drivetrain? ...........does it share the same engines and transmissions as the Camaro?
Answer: .............Peter DeLorenzo suggested in his website (http://www.autoextremist.com/current...extremist.html) that the new turbo diesel engine that GM has in the works would be a great application. They also mentioned a turbo V6, but I was OK with that. Seems the mid 1980's Buick Grand National did pretty good with a turbo V6.
Turbo diesel in a Trans Am? No f'n way, no f'n how would I ever own one! This is blasphemy to an old timer and old schooler like me. Even if it costs 30,000 and turned bone stock mid 12's, I would still never own a muscle car with any sort of diesel.
Front sucks. Thinking 1974 GTO or 1975 Ventura. Looks better from the back side.

it is not a camaro with a kitt. Just read the august isuse of High Performance Pontiac. ASC is going to be building them as a Bird not a camaro with make-up on. It will have its own deal on everything. They will be sold at pontiac dealers, if there any left by 2011. The details are still on the darwing board. I just hope they offer more than that color set up. It could be worst.....they could be pushing ANOTHER!! DAM!! BANDIT!! CAR!!

and for all the people that are saying 'its just a camaro with a body kit'... well, duh!!! the 3rd & 4th gen f-bodies shared the same chassis and mechanicals, just different body and slight interior variations. 1st and 2nd gen had differering engines, but the chassis were the same.
But just like all cars some people are really going to like them and want to be one of the few to have them, because i do not see this car being mass produced, so the coin that the company ask for will probably be given and they will sell the units they make. Because I bet that some of you saw the pic of it and said that its nice looking then when yall saw everyone elses opinions yall jumped on the bandwagon,lol. I would consider purchasing it if they cleaned up that front end.
