need help with ses light
need help with ses light like the tittle says i got a ses light that says low input maf,vaf.changed the maf and it is still there,car is driving really bad,anybody ever had that problem? any help would be appreciated,thanks
what do you mean in "driving really bad"? i had to replace my descreened MAF a few months back with another new stocker with the screen. i couldn't ever go WOT at any point through the rpm range, worse than normal gas mileage. the sensors i guess either burned up or just got old and it really affected my driving. it's all good since the swap. hope this helps somewhat.
If the other MAF changed nothing then it's very likely a wiring problem. Check the plugs and wiring from the MAF to the PCM visually and with a DVOM. Until you get it figured out you will be better off driving the car with the MAF unplugged. It's better to have no signal and let the PCM rely on other inputs than to give the PCM a bad signal that throws everything off. Your car will run better with it unplugged until you fix the real problem. A professional technition could fix this in a few hours or less in most cases.
