i heard that also, gilbert joined up with another shop. sucks to hear john the main tranny builder left. maybe thats why some people had problems with ACE as the shop closed its doors.

Gilbert is basically sharing shop space with Jason at Texas Racewerks. He still runs Ace, just on his own now. John built me a 4l65e when he still worked with Gilbert that I had a few issues with, but GIlbert made good on it and solved all the problems. Tranny is awesome now. Not to bash John. He is a good tranny man, and him and Gilbert are still friends. The economy forced Gilbert to downsize. Also Jason did a damn nice job on a custom 6 point chromoly bar for me. They are great guys and know their stuff. I would highly reccomend Gilbert or Jason either one.
