Default summit starter

Anyone using Summit starter pn 820320? I did a search on tech and the few posts about it don't have their application listed. Someone mentioned using it on an LS6...

Anyway, I have a fourth gen camaro, LS1, with FLP headers. I was just wondering if anyone's used this starter and if it worked out or not. Here's the link to it: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SU...0/?image=large

Thanks guys

What's wrong with your stock starter? I bought the Summit "mini" starter that you are referring to. Length-wise it is a tad shorter than the stock one. Width-wise it is much larger and it's also heavier. I found that the stock starter had much better clearance than this one.

Unless you need a high-torque starter, I would stick with the OEM unit.

I swapped the LS1 into a 93 Camaro, so I don't have a stock LS1 starter. Just wondering if an aftermarket one was just as good as a factory one since they're about the same price as a reman factory starter.
