the bog= not enough gears 6speed should have = 4.10 gears, heater bank 1 sensor 1 and bank 2 sensor 2 are your o2 sensors bank 1 is the side where cylinder 1 is. gm is usually even and odd sides so bank 1 cylinder 1 is on the driver side bank 2 is passenger side sensor 1 means before the catalytic converter and sensor 2 means after the catalytic converter.

so you driver side upstream o2 and your passenger side downstream o2. and you need higher gears.

if you switch to 4.10s you will need to go with a 28 inch tire

I have 4.11s in my 6 speed car w/ the same cam and I roll through the traps @ ~6500 in 4th gear on a 26" ET Drag. I don't think he would need a 28" tire.

I do have to feather the clutch on the launch to prevent bogging as well. One reason I'm swapping to a custom grind w/ more bottom end and adding a little nitrous to get it off the line. What were your 60' times?

He was asking about the tire when he's on nitrous. He will need a taller tire on nitrous.

Possibly... I would try it first before spending the money on tires you may not need.

My 60' on a 11.78 was 1.78, with a best 60' of the night being a 1.71. I think I could have got a high 1.6x out of it with a better launch and a clutch that would hold the dump I would like to do. I was only doing a 4k dump w/ feathering... so I don't think you're too far off on motor.

most tuners delete the rears. if he deleted all 4 then how would ur car be able to tell if ur running lean or rich? I know the shop that u tuned it at uses the o2s on ur car for tuning so i doubt he deleted all of them.

as for ur bog u might want to try ur et streets and dump it at 5-5500 and see how it does. also u can try putting 20 psi in the et drags and drop it a psi at a time till you start bogging then bump it back up to the psi right b4 u bogged.

The only way he could have deleted all 4 o2's is if you're running a true speed density tune. Are you still running a MAF? But it does sound like you have a o2/tune issue.

Put 4.10 gears in it and a 26 inch tall tire with 14 lbs. of air cold and dump the clutch at 6000 rpm and then post back.

I dont think you need gears or nitrous...If you have an aftermarket clutch i would try slipping it out the whole instead of just a straight dump...Unless you have a Spec 5 and a 9 inch your drivetrain isnt gonna last long dumping at 4500. ESPECIALLY if youre dead hooking. Try a slip I dont think hgears or tires are your issue. ALthough a BFG drag radial would be more than sufficient for your setup

You tune in open loop using a wideband, not the O2 sensors. Many people run their cars full time in open loop. That being said, I doubt the shop would leave him with an open loop tune since the afr would need to be monitored regularly.

You dont have to have a speed density tune to run in open loop.

Replace your front 02's with new ones and I bet it will run much better. More gear wouldn't hurt but if the car was tuned using the front 02 sensors and they are not working right its gonna run like ****. The computer uses a combo of the MAF and the front 02s to determine how much fuel to deliver, so if they aren't working it will just dump a bunch of fuel to keep the motor safe. Good Luck
