Freaking painters!!!!!
Freaking painters!!!!! well my apartment complex has been geting painted for the last couple of weeks... my car has been sitting in the garage for the past couple months and i finally got it all back together and took it to work today and washed it off... it had alot of dust on it from sitting so i didn't notice anything right away... well somehow the douches that have been painting managed to get overspray inside my garage and all over my damn car!... from the back all the way to the front and the windows too... it's not very noticeable from a distance but when you get close you can see beige and black speckles on it and the car is bright red... i'm sure it could be buffed out fairly easy so it's not the end of the world but i'm not gonna pay for that ****... i could understand if i left it in the driveway right by where they were painting but it was locked up in the garage... i have contacted the apartment office and am waiting to hear back from them... does anyone have any legal advice or have any experience with something like this?... i'm just so mad right now that i want to choke the bastards and tag their trucks up
painters I use to be a painter dude, I can tell you this if your apartments notified you that they would be painting the complex, then their not at fault....but you can try to fight it if you want too....Good Luck ...my on 2 cents
yeah they did notify me but i don't see how someone wouldn't be liable if it was inside the garage... like i said, i understand if it was out in the open but it wasn't... i mean if notifying someone makes you not liable then couldn't i go notify those guys i'm gonna be painting in the parking lot so it's not my fault their trucks get **** all over them... doesn't make much sense at all to me... and they also could have taken better precautions and been more careful but they don't give a **** it's not their stuff
yeah i have thought about that too... like i said it's not horrible but my car is clean so it was enough to **** me off... and i'd rather not fork over the money, time, and effort to do it so i'm gonna see if i can get either the complex or the painting company to pay for it... i honestly don't blame the complex i think the responsibility is all on the painters doing the job
same thing happened to me but they were painting jack in the box and i went there to eat over spray got all over the car... i bitched the painters payed me 300.00 to have it remove professionally, i went to wall mart and spent 15 dollars on maguires clay bar and it took it all off.
talked to my apartment office today and they said alot of people have complained about it and they gave me the number of the company... they said the company has been very helpful with everyone and if i don't get the answer i want to let them know and they will help me... i called the company and they seemed pretty understanding of the situation... apparently they contract work out to other companies so they are supposed to find out who is working on the job here and get al the details together and get back in touch with me... so it sounds like it might work out ok
