Deleting codes and fixing the speedo..... Thats fine, be cheap. "Adjusting fuel trims" is a little more in depth and should be done by a competant(sp?) tuner and/or on a dyno.

But anyways, Sam will do a good job reasonably. I would go with him.

Believe me, I have thought about it a few times. And for nearly the same price as some of these performance shops are doing tunes, I would rather get the software and take my time learning it.

BUT, as others have said, I am in no financial shape right now to do that. Plus I have no laptop to put it on. I would assume with how many people have simple bolt-on cars (headers, ls6intake, gears, lid, throttle body) you really don't need that in-depth of a tune at the time. Espicially if you plan to do more in-depth mods later like internals/power adders. This should be a crowd I would play more towards if I had a performance shop.

I feel like if you don't have a 10sec street/strip car, some of these major performance shops around here won't give you the time of day.

Sure it's nice to get your stuff perfect if you are that type of person. And if I had the dough I would get it done right the first time every time. Just can't afford it right now.

Sorry for the rant just my .02!
