Exclamation Need advice, title question.

I bought a bike from a guy a few days ago, a 98 yzf600r. I have the original title signed on the back. The problem is, it's not from that guy. He never got it transferred into his name, he just rode it. Plates went out in 2001. I've been trying to get a hold of the original owner so he can sign the transfer paper for me but not having any luck. What can I do in this situation? Can I apply for a bonded title? I'd like to do this legally. Original owner's name was Jamel Snowden from Wylie. Can anyone help me out?

Since the bike is 10 years old, the seller should not have to sign the 130-U application form. As long as the owner signed the back of the title, you should be fine.

I guess you're right. I went down there and they didn't need his signature. Thanks

My wife owns a title and registration business and I work up there every now and then.
