Ok, as if "blades" and "spinners" weren't bad enough, now I'm seeing a new trend where only the FRONT two wheels are the expensive wheels, and the rears are stock. At first I thought it was just some poor people that couldn't afford all 4, but I saw 6 cars like that on my way to work this morning. I mean come on... What the hell...

well a couple of months ago i got a flat on the front. so i changed both to the stock 16 for a week till i could get to a tire shop that had my size wheel.
so for like 4days i had 2 16's in front and 2 20's in the rear. i felt weird as hell but the ride was like 10 times smoother. it was just hard to find that 20 at a reasonable price.

On performance cars it's ok as long as the back wheels have a drag radial on them. Thats just being street tough. Plenty of people who daily drive their cars do not want drag radials on the back for wet weather driving or want them on a smaller sized wheel for what ever reason (245/50/16 is cheaper then a 315/35/17). Thus mounting some stickies on a trusty set of salad shooters or swirlies or Firebird 5 spokes works well. I have drag radials on my current Fikses but when I had WS6 wheels had some spare salad shooters with nittos on them. When I need a new set, I'll most likely out them on some 16s and have a normal street tire on the back.
