Like mentioned above, atleast Tyler was being honest with how busy they were and was able to refer you to other reputable shops. We understand you're not in a time crunch, but it still sucks when a shop is so busy they can't even get to your car. Thankfully you were able to find other shops to take care of the work you need.

Hennessy is the place to go when you have 60,000 to spend on a supercharger for your new 2010 camaro SS and make 100 more hp.

I thought that Hennessey was the place were people took their Vipers to get worked on, paid $100k+ upfront, waited a year and got the car back in pieces with wheels and stuff missing. If that is the same shop, why would you want to take your car there?

Yea atleast they were upfront about it. Personally I have heard WAY too many good things about the other shops around Houston to even mess with them. Sure they turn out some bad Vipers, but there are too many sponsors here that'd get my $$ first ---->

This is Hennessey you're talking about, they get press on the largest Auto websites and around the U/S and are known in other countries. 4K-5K is not even worth their time. It's smart business and there are plenty of VERY capable installers located near that area and Houston. Including, Pavlock, gForce, and LMR.

As a business owner you can pick and choose the business model that you want to follow. If Hennessey wants bigger jobs then so be it, that is their choice. There are plenty of paying sponsors on this site that you could send your business too!

You really can't hate on someone for turning a job down. That means they are obviously into something bigger and better...or just plain retarded. If they don't want the job, congrats on having enough larger scale business to keep the shop running.

+1

You couldn't fit another car in there to be honest.

Ummmm...So just because Hennessey's made it to the big times, he now dont care about the small people that gave them hes work to get thier!! Fact is a real shop will take any job regardless of the size. At a shop like that one mechanic should be able to do a head/cam swap in 2 days with a tuning.

But like said Johns a dick, and he only preps the track for the events he wants to do, not for the guys that drive 2 hours to go have fun and a 12 sec. car wont hold off the line....

Any shop can get the heads cam package in and out in a day if you have the parts instock.

There are much better options in the Houston area for LSX builds. G-Force and LMR are 2 examples.

Sorry we could not take on the job. As Tyler said we have too much of a backlog of work and we do have to be selective on jobs we take in right now. It is not a matter of profitability, it is a matter of which of our techs is available to do a given project. We have 15 guys in the shop but only a few of them have experience in your vehicle and desired upgrades. Thanks for stopping by and giving us the opportunity to meet you.
