Default WB O2 Readings

OK, I thought that asking in the PCM DIAG forum that I could get some replys but no one in there could give an answer to my simple question. What does your WB read? Does it stay close to 14.7 or is it like mine that is all over the place bouncing from the upper 13's to the low 15's under normal driving.

Under normal driving your wideband signal should bounce all around. It may display differently depending on your gauge or logging setup if it is conditioned or smoothed. In reality, during part throttle the PCM attempts to maintain 14.7:1 and it does so by adding fuel when its leaner and pulling fuel when its richer. This happens many times a second.

It should be relatively close to 14.7 during idle and part throttle cruising. If it isn't there is room for improvement in your tune. Bouncing between 13-15 isn't going to hurt anything except gas mileage and maybe a little cam surge.

No over lap here, have a crane 224 cam in it. There is a lot of room in my tune for improvement and that is the main reason I was asking the question. I was wondering if the tune being really far off if it would cause the readings I am seeing, I did slow down the responce time to 1/6 instead of instant so that should help some. Thanks for the help!
