Tint ticket question
just got one for 2.5%...
cop said its an equipment ticket
does that mean i just take the tint off and go in, pay 10% then be done with it?
EDIT: also didnt have my updated insurance card with me (expired last week) and he gave me failure to maintain finanical responsibility.
If i show court i have insurance, is that ticket dismissed?

yea man, if you have a picture of your car before it was tinted and can show your plates on it they might let it slid, i've done it before hah. Its kinda risky though, if not they should let it go with maybe a % charge if your remove it. as for insurance... what he said ^^^

Insurance card will be dismissed once you show proof that you did have insurance on that date. People have taken pics of the vehicle without tint on them and shown them to judges, and it has worked before. However, a judge can go visually check to see if you actually did take the tint off.

I remember when you got this tint, and you were pumped up about it. I know how it feels man, I miss my limo tint, but after getting pulled over/ticketed twice for it. I realized it wasn't worth it.

well just an update. I had my court date today...I had NOT removed the tint.
I asked the prosecuter what would be best to do, and he asked if i had removed it. i said no but i will, just wanted to check with you guys first. Well he said i had till the end of the day to remove it and hed dismiss the ticket. I walked out, ripped it off, came back 5 minutes later, and he dismissed the ticket. I only had to pay 10$!!
AND it will only cost me 50$ to replace the tint! i guess i sorta won.. better then paying ~150$

Exactly the same story here. Two $300 tickets taught me my lesson. In Grimes County supposedly they are non-contestable as well and since it was out of town I couldn't take the necessary time off to fight it .
