Exclamation LMR's 9 sec ZR1 Video Inside!!

We took Andrew Alepa's 09 ZR1 Corvette to the track this weekend for the first time. This car is equiped with our complete REAPER package and made 752rwhp on 93 Octane and 787rwhp and 784rwtq on 109 octane. Car ran a 9.93 @140mph ! The front wheels should be showing up this week and we will take it back out to go even faster with a little more tweaking. It took a few passes to get used to the clutch resulting in the first pass a 10.6 and the second a 10.4. Enjoy!

It was a great day for the track rental, the weather was nice, but had a 10-15 mph head wind all day. Like Steven said rims and tires got delayed, so we had to use these rear wheels and the stock front ones. For only making 4 passes, this was great, I never thought we would break a 9 with the stock gearing in the transmission and a 1.626 60 ft, but the car charges when it hits 2nd gear. There is a 9.60 in the car with if we get a 1.5 60ft(which can be done). But I didn't want Steven to go to crazy since the track was prepped well. The 9.93 was with a pretty soft launch as you can tell and if you listen to the 2nd-3rd gear change there was a hesitation just to make sure he hit the gear. Overall I couldn't be happier with the car, it is as quite as can be and hauls the mail at the same time.

I would like to thank LMR especially "Wormboy" for being my shoe, Paul for doing the job right, Josh and Joe for giving me the right go fast goodies and tuning. Also "Slick Rick" from NRC for tackling the heads off a ZR1. We will hit the 9.6-9.7 marker, just don't know when.

I do have the time slip I will try and get it scanned within the next couple of days.

Attention, John Landers get the rearend fixed so we can go rent the track again.

Congratulations Andrew on the time, I was tempted to call you and see how the weekend went but I guess I know now. Keep up the good work and congrats also to the guys at LMR; what's the record for a ZR1 anyway?

That would be the "potato peeler" cam in it. And I told you on Saturday the convertible is more in your league....lol

And to Jay up there, LPE has the fastest at 9.83@144, but I see at least 2 ZR1's eclipsing that in the future. Mine and John out of Louisiana, there might be others, but I don't know about them yet.
