6.0 question...

Default 6.0 question...
i got a 6.0 block and was wondering if any of my ls1 out of my 2000 camaro will fit on the 6.0 block...and if so what would i need to get..i am wanting to get it running for now and do a cam swap later...will my tranny 4l60e fit on the 6.0.....basically what will i need to get it running...

If you have just a bare block, the crank and rods will swap out im sure, as well as the heads and everything else, just need to drill and tap 1 hole for the accessories, but you will need pistons...

If you have a shot block or long block you are in better shape labor wise.

Pistons won't. 5.7 is 3.9" and the 6.0 is 4.025 or some such if I remember right.

6.0 = 4.000" bore.

I think the LS1 rods would be to short in a 6.0 ltr block.

Yea, not sure, i know the crank is the same stroke, so you would THINK the rods would be the same length.

All I know if the 6.0 is a larger bore but same stroke as an ls1.

Then again, if you have a stock crank checked out, they can take pretty much anything. Rated at up to 700 hp. Rods however, not so much.
