Default cai vs lid and filter

Right now I have an MTI clear air lid and K&N filter on an LS1. I was about to get a K&N cold air intake and was wondering if it would make any difference.

If its a SS or WS6 with a ram air setup i would stick with the lid filter combo. I know the ram air isnt much but it does help some
