Wreck on 1960 Friday Night
According to Atascocita Volunteer Fire Department spokesman Bob Kelshaw, medics were dispatched around 1:45 a.m.
“The driver, a 21-year-old male, was in extremely critical condition and had to be extricated from the vehicle. He was transported via Life Flight to Memorial Hermann downtown. His injuries were life-threatening,” Kelshaw said. “The 18-year-old female passenger was also transported via a second Life Flight helicopter, also to Memorial Hermann downtown, with critical injuries.”
Kelshaw said witnesses told first responders that the vehicle was traveling at a very high rate of speed when it hit the tree.

ATASCOCITA, Texas—Two teenagers were in critical condition Saturday after an early-morning car crash in northeast Harris County.
The accident happened around 1:15 a.m. on FM 1960.
Police said the 19-year-old male driver was traveling at a high rate of speed when he lost control, overcorrected and drove into a tree. An 18-year-old female was a passenger in the car.
Witness Dahlia McCutcheon saw the accident and immediately stopped to provide assistance.
“I saw the car spinning out of control and then hit a tree,” she said. “I was like,’Oh my God. I have to help,”’
Another passerby also pulled over to help the victims. He placed a call to 911.
McCutheon said the passenger was responsive, but the driver was slumped over the seat. McCutheon and the other witness stayed with the two victims until emergency crews arrived on the scene.
Both people were taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where they remain in critical condition.
That girl may pass and it will be tough for both families to swallow as they loose there children. I have Two children and If I lost either one of them the pain in my heart will be tremendously deep, I would probably, literally, have a heart attack. I feel for both of those families.
I am guilty for pushing my car to it's limits but I don't do it with someone else in the car. If I ever make a mistake behind the wheel, I pray, I'm the only one who pays the ultimate price.
