Post In-Ground Pool Light Wiring

Well My old man is not around (out of town)
and i just graduated from high school so i have nothing to do
besides nothing...
so i want to make my self handy and wanted to try to fix a problem with the pool light

When we got the pool made a few years back
they installed a in ground pool light
that changes colors and etc...
and the way we would make the dam light change colors (white for 5 mins then slowly change to blue then slowly change to red and etc....)
Was by turn it on and off and on quickly and it seemed to do the trick.
well it stopped moving.... i few years back
i was wondering is it the dam motor that changes the colors inside the light
or is it this wiring....
it seems only to ground the light to turn it on
The light does turn on! but it stays in white...
Dont know the brand of the light so no help there
Can some one help me here ?
Thanks

You have either a led pool light ( i have one) or a light that has a motorized lense that moves aroung the bulb. The problem is not the switch, its in the light and they are not serviceable. You have to replace whole unit.

Very easy to change out, I'm sure the fixture is not going to be too cheap.

Yeah, pretty much what everyone else has said. The switch in the photo is just a regular single pole single throw. It hooked up correctly as a normal switch would be.

Challenge yourself. Try changing it out while it's live and submersed in water.

like everyone said, the light is bad and needs replaced. those lights are somewhat easy to change out. make sure you get the lube the pool guys use to pull the wire.... it will make your life sooo much easier. if not, you will be hating life about 10-20 ft in.... ask me how I know.......
