Yeah it sucks. We then took off the heads this past weekend, to find a cracked piston. Looks like the valves bent pretty good too. My block is at the machine shop right now getting cleaned up and honed, rebuilding it with some ls6 rods and pistons. Got some 243 heads local, and am going to hand port them, port my intake/tb, and also got some 1 3/4 pacesetters, with re-tune should run really good. Can't wait to have it back up and running again.

I'd swing for some forged pistons at least.

I honestly wanted to, but at the end of this year I plan on going turbo with a larger cubed motor, more than likely 364. Didn't really see the point in wasting the money right now, when I'd be upgrading in a few months anyways.

It's my only car at the moment, so I really just wanted it running so I can have something to move around in. Thank goodness for good friends and a boss that gives me rides everywhere!

Your lucky, I dropped a valve and broke a piston in 3 pieces and trashed the block.

Yeah luckily for me the valve dropped at idle, and we were able to turn off the car pretty quick.

Might as well upgrade your rod bolts while it's apart.
