I found out how to find out the year model on a GM block. On the block at the front of the passenger side bank it a letter with a 3 digit # Example: I092 The letter represents the month of manufacture A= January B= February C= March and so on. The next two #'s are the day 09 is the ninth and the last number is the year. So my block was Manufactured August 9, 2002.
