Track Rental? This has been brought up here, on the corvette boards, and on some local mustang boards.
What does it take for us to rent out HRP in the fall? I read a few months back that a few guys were posting the crazy prices to rent out HRP for a day. I've been racing on and off for 12 years(since 16) at HRP.
I really can't stand it anymore. The last time out, I got 2 runs in over 4+ hours. I'm not really a big summertime racer since our DA's are high and I like to break parts going for a personal best. I would like to get together a track rental(s). I've raced at some of Hennessey's 1320 events(not the last one) and was very impressed by the officials, but not the track. The last 2 times at the track, I just headed out to SAR to stay at the family river house to race. Slow track and we had a high postive DA and headwind, so my times were slow even with a similar 60ft.
Just frustrating see all the fast vette/new camaros and mustangs laying down great times. I'd like to see some of the houston guys get together and rent the track out a couple times in the fall/winter. I would think 75-100 cars at $100-150 should be plenty to cover all expenses.
