egr block off... so im finally putting everything together to install my long tubes. they are hooker headers withe the air and egr ports. i was looking on ws6 store at the egr black off plate..... my question is if i block the port on the headers for the egr what is the possibilty of it bursting??
i've heard and read a few horror stories of blocking the egr has caused the tube on the headers to burst. that it is best just to cut the egr tube on the long tubes off and weld the hole that is left ...

The first EGR block offs that I did were with the plates. Drilled 2 holes for the bolts, made a new gasket, bolted them up. Never had any problems or bursting.
