U-Verse HD was not as good compared to Dish. I tried it, but was very unhappy with the picture quality. If you have not had satellite quality, you will not even notice.

I decided to go ahead and give U-verse a chance, with no contract to sign and free installation, I figure I have nothing to lose. I really appreciate the heads up on using the cat5 as opposed to the coaxial, I’ll make sure to talk to the technician that comes out about that. (Got to make sure everything’s squared away for football season, definitely not the time of year to be experiencing technical difficulties!) Thanks to everyone for their input and advice. Barring any complications I should have my U-verse up and running within a weeks time, I’ll let ya’ll know how it goes.

Just an FYI I do not think they will install the cat5 with out charging. I did my own house....it was winter time you won't catch me up there right now...you may want to try and call and talk to them about the installation and cat5. I would hate for you to be surprised when they show up on the day of the install.
