Default bass speaker blew :(

I don't usually post here, but im constantly lurking.
Anyways, a few days ago my bass speaker right behind the driver seat blew out and it rattles whenever i listen to music. Just wondering if anybody has any suggestions of where the best place to replace the speaker would be and about how much would it cost?

They are 2 ohms, so it is hard to find an aftermarket direct replacement. To fix mine, I put 6 1/2 inch coax speakers (I had sitting around) which are being ran off the hatch connections for the highs and the mid of the coax off the mid bass connection. This removed the speakers in the hatch. I have installed a number of systems, so I wouldn't attempt this if you do not have experience with aftermarket equipment.

I also installed a set of coax speakers that I modified to use both channels in the front.

Kee audio has some nice cdt midwoofers for a nice prize. I also believe they have some bazooka brand midwoofers for cheaper!

CDT makes great speakers. I have had everything from Focal to Diamond components, and the CDT Components I have in the truck are right up there.

i'd only go aftermarket if you are going to replace everything. otherwise, just keep checking the classifieds for someone local parting out a car
