Need some help!!!! Ok guys I have a 01 Trans am and it keeps dying on me at idle when it first starts up. After it warms up or like the computer relearns itself it idles fine. The car is almost like its surging between 1000 rpm and 500 rpm at start up. I have changed the IAC, TPS, and cleaned the MAF all the things I would think to be associated with this funny idle problem. Well it didnt change so I took it to the tuner and he hooked it up to his laptop and he said it looked fine. After the car idles at 1000 rpm normally I can go to turn the a/c on and it will go back to surging like this. Tge car has a mild cam in it and has ran good until a month ago. Its a six speed so I dont think its effected by the tranny. Any help or insight you guys have would help!!!
What other mods do you have? What kind of plugs are you running? I had an issue similar to this on cold idle with TR55s, I changed to TR6s and it fixed the problem. Not saying that's your problem, but it's worth looking at all your ignition (coils/plugs/wires) and o2s.
