Just something a co-worker/intern told me, she is a Ten Grad and was there during the Ainge/Foster era. She doesn't remember exactly, she just said he had some drama when he got injured. May have just been with the coaches. Guess it's google time.

I mentioned that he sat out a quarter and she made a comment.

He told ESPN:
"I didn't handle my business off the field, I got disciplined for it, and rightfully so. I take full responsibility and I apologized to my teammates for it, and it won't happen again. And we're all about moving on here. I slipped up, and I'm assuring it won't happen again."
It's undisclosed as to what exactly he did.

Sitting him out for a half is not what should be happening. You're just hurting the team by doing that. Fine him, make him do extra stuff in practice, whatever, but don't hold out the league's leading rusher because of that.

Not really the ideal behavior for someone who just earned a starting spot. If I were him, I'd be busting *** and showing my worth - as it will give him far more leverage later when it comes time for a raise and re-signing.

Foster:

“I take full responsibility,” he said. “I apologize to my teammates for it, and it won’t happen again.

“I’m still a human being — not to use that as an excuse, I still have to handle my business — but I slipped up and I’m assuring that it won’t happen again.”

“I’ve had a lot of setbacks in my career and I don’t want to have any self-inflicted ones,” he said. “This is the last time you’ll see that from me.”

Looked up Fosters 2-yr contract.

$310K this year
$395K next year

That is a smokin' deal, LOL. Vonta Leach earns 2 million a year, 4-yr contract. If Foster can stay healthy, and produce the numbers, expect him to become very very wealthy.

The score to the Bears / Giants game is a little deceiving considering the hurt the Giants put on the QB position (3 of them) last night. The Texans are going to have a huge fight on their hands if the Giants come with the game they did last night against us this week.

Their run game was solid and their pass rush was merciless. Cutler loves the big play and waits around too long so we will not have that problem, but they will still be coming at Schaub with a lot of pressure. They will likely work the new guy's side a lot. I'm seeing short drops, TE passes and throwing into the blitz.

Resting Andre was a great idea.

That's what I was thinking, you can't fine a guy that is making the bare minimum. He's already producing way above his pay scale.

I still remember when Josh Hamilton was making the least amount on the Rangers and he was leading the league in OB%, BA, and was in the top 5 in HR's. For a whopping 300k. Of course that has changed.

Hell Kitna makes more than Romo does.

I still think the Giants have one of the best front 4 in the nfl. They have been fighting to find Plax's replacement which is near impossible, but they have the same O-line that won the superbowl a few years back. It hurt them alot loosing Ward, who has struggled since leaving the giants.
